THUNDER VALLEY RE-LAUNCHES WOMEN AND MOTORSPORTS WEBSITE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Thunder Valley Racing Re-launches Website Devoted to Women and Motorsports Women have always been competing at the elite levels of motorsport, but now more than ever, they are experiencing an explosion in popularity. Thunder Valley Racing, a web site devoted to women racers and their fans, is officially re-launched today after undergoing its third major renovation since 1996. You can find the new site at http://thundervalleyracing.com. This website overhaul has evolved as NASCAR statistics show women now make up nearly 40% of the viewing audience. This amazing growth is due, in large part, to regular starts by Winston Cup driver Shawna Robinson, and continuous wins for NHRA Pro Stock Bike Champion, Angelle Savoie. In other areas of motorsport, Sarah Fisher was voted the IRL's most popular driver in 2001 and drag racing veteran Shirley Muldowney continues to have the longest autograph lines in the paddock wherever she appears. Thunder Valley Racing features drivers ranging from women racing at local dirt tracks to professional drivers with aspirations to move ever higher in stock car, open wheel, sports car, and exotic forms of the sport, as well as respected veterans of the sport. The objective of the site is to support and encourage female drivers racing all over the world, at all levels of motorsport, and provide an energetic forum for discussion for the drivers and their fans. Currently featured on Thunder Valley Racing: * Indy 500 veteran Janet Guthrie shares an excerpt from her autobiography. * Featured Racer Shawna Robinson of NASCAR Winston Cup. * Lea Croteau provides a Race Report from Mid-Ohio. * New Sponsorship section. * A new Message Board joins the Racer Email Group to foster ongoing dialogue. * The Press Room helps women racers and journalists collaborate. * Variety of Features and News Articles.
