AMA VINTAGE MOTORCYCLE DAYS FACT SHEET WHAT: AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days WHERE: Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course 7721 Steam Corners Road Lexington, OH 44904 WHEN: Friday, July 19 - Sunday, July 21, 2002 PROMOTER: TrueSports, Inc. 545 Metro Place South Suite 400 Dublin, OH 43017-5367 FEATURED MARQUE: Spanish Motorcycle SANCTIONING BODIES: American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association (AHRMA) RACE CLASSES: AHRMA ROAD RACING Classic Formula Vintage Grand Prix Sound of Singles (1980's and over) Formula Battle of Twins (1980's and over) Sportsman Sound of Thunder (1980's and over) Historic Production Vintage Superbike AHRMA VINTAGE MOTOCROSS Motocross participants will compete on the track located in the field adjacent to Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course under three classes of racing: Sportsman, Premier and Classic. The AHRMA Motocross will also offer four age groups: 30+, 40+, 50+, and 60+ and a female class. AHRMA DIRT TRACK Dirt track races will be held at the Ashland County Fairgrounds, 25 minutes from Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. There will be ten classes divided into Sportsman, Classic Vintage and Dinosaur categories. A novice class will also race the dirt oval. AHRMA VINTAGE TRIALS Trial participants match their vintage machines against nature and the clock. Trials are divided into Heavyweight, Lightweight, Modern and Classic classes, and there is no rider age requirement. Competition will be held on Mid-Ohio's natural terrain southeast of the permanent track.
