Infiniti Reports Best August Sales in History

GARDENA, Calif., Sept. 4 -- Infiniti, the luxury division of Nissan North America, Inc., today reported its best August sales in history with sales of 8,451 units, accounting for a 32.1 percent increase versus August of last year.

A key contributor to this record month was the G35 sport sedan, which reported sales of 3,708 units making August its best sales month to date. Since the G35 went on sale March 11, Infiniti has achieved five record sales months including March (8,628 units), April (7,741 units), May (7,633 units), July (7,535 units) and now August (8,451 units).

Rounding out the Infiniti lineup, I35 posted sales of 2,399 units, QX4 posted sales of 1,751 units, Q45 posted sales of 490 units and G20 posted sales of 103 units (please see the sales chart on the following page for more details).

Nissan's combined U.S. sales for August, including Nissan and Infiniti divisions, totaled 73,403 units, accounting for a 19.8 percent increase versus August of last year.
