Cross Lander USA To Unveil Prototypes of New Off-Road Vehicle Coming To U.S. In Spring 2004

WHAT: Miami-based Cross Lander USA will formally celebrate the
opening of its new off-road vehicle manufacturing facility in
Romania, with the unveiling of two prototypes of the Cross
Lander 244X, a new rugged off-road vehicle that will be coming
to the U.S. in Spring 2004.
Cross Lander USA reached an agreement with the Romanian
government last month to purchase the Aro S.A. vehicle
manufacturing facility as part of the Romanian
government's efforts to privatize its auto industry. The
8.5 million square foot off-road facility is located 60
miles north of Bucharest.
Company officials will also announce, for the first time in
the history of Aro, the company will sign a direct
contract with one of the largest vehicle parts
manufacturers in the world, which will supply Cross Lander
with engines and transmissions for vehicles destined for
the U.S. market and beyond.
