Hot Wheels Hall of Fame Inaugural Inductees to Be Honored on
Nov. 11 at Petersen Automotive Museum Ceremony

Star-Studded Induction Gala and Charity Benefit with Master of
Ceremonies Jay Leno to Salute Automotive Legends, Rides and Moments
WHAT: Six inaugural inductees will cruise into the Hot Wheels(R)
Hall of Fame at the Petersen Automotive Museum during a
special evening with "The Tonight Show" host Jay Leno as
Master of Ceremonies to celebrate significant people,
vehicles and moments in automotive history. The evening will
benefit RADD (Recording Artists, Actors and Athletes Against
Drunk Driving), the entertainment industry's voice for road
safety.
WHO: Inaugural inductees into the Hot Wheels(R) Hall of Fame, a
new installation that will be unveiled in the permanent Hot
Wheels(R) exhibit at the Petersen Automotive Museum,
include:
-- Legends: Winston Cup "King" Richard Petty and NHRA
Founder Wally Parks
-- Greatest Rides: 1932 Ford V-8 and 1964 Pontiac GTO
-- Milestone Moment: Jan. 16, 1953 -- Introduction of the
Chevrolet Corvette
-- Lifetime Achievement Award: Elliot Handler, Mattel
founder and "Father of Hot Wheels"
