ABOUT PARTAIN:
Geoffrey Partain is Toyota's Environmental Product Planning Manager with
the Advanced Technologies Vehicles Group of the Corporate Planning
Division. He currently works on Toyota's Fuel Cell Hybrid Vehicle
program. Partain joined Toyota's Alternative Fueled Vehicles Group in
1999 and worked on the first Prius pre-launch activities such as the
"Prius Demo Program." He also was involved in product planning for Prius
and on Toyota's overall cross-car hybrid strategy. Late last year, Motor
Trend magazine named the Prius as the 2004 Car of the Year, marking the
first time a hybrid vehicle has received the coveted Golden Calipers
Award.
