Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum News Release - Museum awarded $20,000 grant
AUBURN June 7, 2006; The Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum was awarded a $20,000 grant from the Collectors Foundation to support the museum's customized educational programs. The grant will be paid in 4 annual installments of $5,000. In 2005 over 5,000 students visited the museum and the educational department was responsible for providing educational customized programs for over 1,700 students. The letter received with the award states, "The Board of Directors is impressed with the diverse audiences the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum can attract and should utilize the grant as a challenge to other constituencies to support the museum's educational programming". The museum must meet this challenge of $5,000 per year for the next 4 years in order to retain the grant.
