Toyota and Saatchi LA Debut "Let's Go Places" to Kick Off 2013
Toyota begins 2013 with an invitation to customers: "Let's Go Places!" The new brand direction and creative is an optimistic manifesto celebrating the Toyota owners who pursue their passions and dreams in their vehicles everyday. The campaign launched with a :60 second TV spot that spotlights a spectrum of Toyota vehicles and depicts the awe-inspiring moments that occur because of the people and ideas behind each car, such as a newborn driven home from the hospital, a one-of-a-kind concept car with a full LED screen exterior, and a Tundra TRD truck jumping 10 feet into the air. Sam Trammell, best know for his recurring role on HBO's True Blood, provides the moving voice over. ?Let?s Go Places? speaks to the evolution of Toyota and our commitment to leading through innovation, enriching lives and connecting with customers in new ways they define,? said Bill Fay, group vice president and general manager, Toyota Division. ?It is energetic, aspirational, inclusive and very versatile. The phrase conveys a dual meaning of physically going places and taking off on an adventure, while also expressing optimism and the promise of exciting innovation that enriches people?s lives. It allows our associates, customers, dealers, and suppliers to interpret it in ways that are most personally relevant to them.? All media drives viewers to "Let's Go Places" on social channels using the hashtag #LetsGoPlaces. In addition to TV, the campaign includes large print and OOH components featuring real people, as well as a mobile and tablet-friendly expressions of "Let?s Go Places" at Toyota.com/letsgoplaces. Toyota also created several web videos, the first of which tells the story behind the 2013 Avalon, the first completely American-designed and engineered car in Toyota's 75-year history. The second film looks at the future of design by exploring the Fun Vii concept car - a hybrid vehicle with an impressive, totally digital, LED exterior and interior skin.
