Quotes from Glenn Allen, 1996 Raybestos Rookie of The Year:
"I feel like we are on our way to getting back on track. With John Monsom
and the guys working so hard at the shop, I know we will have a great car for
this race. I love the track at Myrtle Beach. Last year I thought we were
going to win the race, we charged up from the 23rd starting spot into 2nd
place in 100 laps. When we pitted the tires we put on were mismatched and we
went straight back. That was a horrible feeling, to have had a great car and
not won the race."
"I love the Myrtle Beach area, my whole entire family is going to be there
with me for the entire week. I have aunts, uncles, nephews, and cousins all
coming in. Maybe we can turn it into a great big Victory party for The Allen
Family!"
PIT NOTES
Allen says the Myrtle Beach Speedway reminds him of some of the former ASA
tracks he raced on prior to coming to The Busch Grand National Series.
Allen will appear at The NASCAR Invasion in York, PA on Thursday July 17th.
Luxaire is located in York, PA.
