SCOT WALTERS NOTES & QUOTES: LINK-BELT CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT 225
LOUISVILLE, KY - Louisville, Kentucky native Scot Walters is making his NASCAR
Craftsman Truck Series debut driving the Brewco Motorsports No. 37 Red Man
Chevrolet in the Link-Belt Construction Equipment 225 at Louisville Motor
Speedway.
"Louisville Speedway is a racer's racetrack," said Walters. "You need to be
smooth to get around the track quickly. It is extremely difficult because each
corner is radically different."
The Bluegrass State native is familiar with getting around Louisville's 0.4375
mile short-track. He set the track record and scored the pole in last season's
NASCAR Slim Jim All Pro Series race.
Scot Walters is the third different driver of the Brewco Motorsports No. 37
Red Man Chevrolet in as many races. He follows David and Mark Green who raced
at Nazareth Speedway and the Milwaukee Mile respectively.
Mark Green will drive the No. 37 truck next in the Cummins 200 at Indianapolis
Raceway Park on July 31. Green also drives Brewco Motorsports No. 37 Timber
Wolf Chevrolet Monte Carlo in the NASCAR Busch Series.
Located in Central City, Kentucky, Brewco Motorsports is entering eight NASCAR
Craftsman Truck Series events in 1997 with David Green, Mark Green and Scot
Walters alternating driving duties.
Miller Hartman, the total convenience store supplier with distribution centers
in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and Leitchfield, Kentucky, is an associate sponsor
on the No. 37 Red Man Chevrolet for the Link-Belt Construction Equipment 225
at Louisville Motor Speedway.
