          Practice 8:40 to 9:35 am and 10:40 to 11:35 am 
          European style qualifying 2:00 pm                             

          SUNDAY, August 24 
          Garage opens 7:00 am 
          Mandatory Drivers' Meeting 11:00 am

Posted Awards: $88,220 - including $6,600 in NASCAR Featherlite Modified Tour 
Championship Points Fund money, and $11,000 in NASCAR Featherlite Modified 
Tour Bonus Plan money.

Qualifying Procedure: Starting positions 1 through 30 will be determined by 
European style qualifying. Positions 31 through 34 have been established for 
up to four additional starting positions which will be available to any of 
the top-35 eligible drivers in current 1997 NASCAR Featherlite Modified Tour 
Championship Points Standings who have entered, but failed to qualify for one 
of the original starting positions. Official points standings, not time trial 
speed, will determine these positions.
