ELLIOTT SADLER NOTES & QUOTES: FOOD CITY 250
BRISTOL, TN - The No. 29 Phillips 66 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Elliott Sadler
will pilot at Bristol Motor Speedway is the same car he raced at Michigan
Speedway last weekend. Sadler inherited the car from the No. 8 stable of cars
when Jeff Green moved from the NASCAR Busch Series to run Winston Cup for
Diamond Ridge Motorsports. Sadler was forced to run the car last weekend when
he crashed his primary car during qualifying. The car improved 21 positions
last weekend, coming from 39th to finish 18th.
- Sadler is quick to note that Bristol is one of his favorite tracks. "I
just love racing at Bristol," Sadler said. "It is a very tough track, no
doubt. We get around those high banks so fast and hard that by the time the
250 laps are complete, it will really wear you out. But it's also one of the
few times we get to race under the lights, which I love doing. This place is
just a lot of fun, period."
- In the last five races, Sadler has two wins and two second-place finishes
in the last five races. He is looking to improve on that mark with his start
in the mountains of Tennessee.
