- Mark Green continues to move closer to a top-10 finish in the 1997 NASCAR
Busch Series points championship. Following his 13th place finish in last
week's Food City 250 at Bristol Motor Speedway, the driver of the No. 37
Timber Wolf Chevrolet Monte Carlo moved to within 138 points of 10th place in
the series standings. He is currently in 13th position.
- The recent changes to the Darlington Raceway shouldn't affect Mark Green
and the Timber Wolf/Brewco Motorsports team too much as both have only one
previous start on the 1.366 mile egg-shaped oval.
"The only difference for us is where we take the checkered flag," said
Green, a resident of Owensboro, Kentucky. "We only have one start at
Darlington, so we won't have a lot of old habits to break."
- Timber Wolf Racing's Mark Green will sign autographs on Wednesday,
September 3 from 10:00-11:00 am at Allied Signal's Chesterfield, Virginia
plant.
