BUCKSHOT JONES NOTES & QUOTES: MBNA 200
DOVER, DE - "We are ready for a win this weekend at Dover. This track is a
favorite of mine because of the high banking and it fits my driving style.
We had a strong, top-five finish in Richmond and we hope to run even better
this weekend." --Buckshot Jones, driver of the #00 Aquafresh Pontiac

Dover Downs International Speedway during a press conference on Friday,
September 19, 1997 at 11:30 am in the Infield Media Center. All media is
invited.
- The #00 Aquafresh Racing Pontiac Grand Prix that will compete in the "MBNA
200" is the same car that the team finished fifth with at Richmond
International Raceway on September 5, 1997.
- Buckshot spent this past week in Destin, Fl., attending a convention and
fishing trip with representatives from Aquafresh and Keebler. Jones, who is an
avid fisherman, usually goes freshwater fishing on his family farm. This past
week he spent a day deep sea fishing on the Gulf of Mexico.
- "I always enjoy spending my free time outdoors, so when I was asked to do
this fishing trip I jumped at the chance," commented Jones. "I was hoping to
catch something I had never caught before and I did that and more. I had two
hooks on the line at once and I caught three Trigger fish all at the same
time. It was a fun day."
