KENNY SCHRADER NOTES & QUOTES: HANES 500
MARTINSVILLE, VA -"Martinsville is a track where brakes are extremely
important. At the race earlier this year, we still had our brakes at
the end of 500 miles because we ran conservative into the turns. It
paid off and we were able to finish 10th."---Kenny Schrader, driver of

"I was pleased with the car when we finished 10th here in April," says
Schrader. " We were about to go a lap down to race leader, Jeff
Gordon. Gordon and I battled for 25 laps, racing two wide for most of
those laps. I stayed on the lead lap and it was a great show for the
fans. Tracks like Martinsville are famous for those type of battles."
In 25 starts at Martinsville, Schrader has six top-five and 13 top-10
finishes. Schrader was fastest second round qualifier in April's
Goody's Headache Powder 500.
Schrader and the Skoal Bandit Racing team were in Talladega testing
this past week. They feel they have a great car. It is the same car
they ran at Talladega in the spring.
