MARTINSVILLE, VA - "I have only raced at Martinsville once, so my
impressions of the track are very limited," says Green. "I ran at
Martinsville in a Busch car in 1991 for John Boatman. I started pretty
decent, but my brakes didn't last. I can at least carry that knowledge
with me this weekend. I will be focusing on getting the car hooked up
so it can get in the turns easily, which will help save the brakes. We
are very concerned with the brakes and will do everything we can to
conserve them. The ultimate goal for the Cartoon Network Chevrolet
this weekend is to finish the race with brakes. If we have brakes for
the entire race, we should earn a respectable finish."

Jeff Green will pilot this weekend at Martinsville Speedway is the
same car that competed at Martinsville in April and both Loudon
events.
- Jeff Green and the Diamond Ridge Motorsports Winston Cup team
tested at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Tuesday, Sept. 23, 1997. They
were among approximately 20 cars and were fifth fastest of those
cars. They had intended to test on Wednesday, Sept. 24, 1997, but rain
halted the rest of testing at CMS.
