BUCKSHOT JONES NOTES & QUOTES: ALL PRO BUMPER TO BUMPER 300
CONCORD, NC - "Last May was only the second time we had raced at Charlotte
and we finished sixth. I like this track a lot, but it takes a while to really
understand it and learn how to drive it."--Buckshot Jones, driver of the #00

The #00 Aquafresh Racing Pontiac Grand Prix that will compete in the "All Pro
Bumper to Bumper 300" has been a top-ten car all year. Jones finished fourth
in Atlanta, seventh in Texas, sixth in Charlotte and fourth in Milwaukee
earlier this year.
Jones spent his weekend off hunting on the family farm in Monticello, Ga.
"The season is coming to an end and things are beginning to slow down a
little, so I like to take that time and spend it with my family," said Jones.
"They are always with me during the season, but it is nice to spend some
relaxing time with them away from the race track."
"Charlotte is a track like any other in the sense that you need to qualify
well and run well throughout the race," commented Jones. "But it is also a
track that allows you time to work with the car to get it running the way you
want."
Crew Chief Ricky Pearson's father, David Pearson, holds the record for most
poles at Charlotte Motor Speedway. He has claimed 14 poles in his career, 11
of them consecutively from the fall of 1973 to the fall of 1978.
