HOMESTEAD, FL - "Before the changes to the Homestead track, the cars would
get too much speed in the corners and couldn't make the turns. There wasn't
enough room in the turns to carry the speed of the car. The track looks good

- EQUIPMENT: The #00 Aquafresh Racing Pontiac that the team will be
utilizing with at the "Jiffy Lube Miami 300" is the same car they ran at North
Carolina Motor Speedway on October 25 and finished 15th.
- POINTS BATTLE: Jones is presently tied with Elton Sawyer for seventh place
in the NASCAR Busch Series points standings, 64 points away from Elliott
Sadler in sixth with 88 points separating him from Tim Fedewa in ninth.
- FLASHBACK: This time last year Jones went to Homestead to compete in the
race and wanted to make his certification dives after taking SCUBA lessons.
Two weeks before Homestead, Jones was in an accident at North Carolina Motor
Speedway where he cracked three ribs and broke a toe. He was unable to get
certified that weekend.
- 1997 REFLECTION: "We did not reach all of the goals we set for ourselves
in 1997," said Jones. "We definitely wanted to win a race or two, but it
hasn't happened. We are not disappointed with our performance, but we are not
satisfied either."
- MOVIN' ON UP: Jones will make his NASCAR Winston Cup debut next week at
the "NAPA 500" at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
