Veteran V.P. Sales Executive Joins AAA

    SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 6 -- Mac A. Johnson has recently joined
the American Automobile Association, (AAA) as the new Vice President of Sales.
Mac has teamed up with AAA after a distinguished 25-year career at Mutual of
Omaha, where he served as Regional Vice President of the West and Midwest
sales divisions.  At Mutual of Omaha, he was responsible for sales, marketing,
information services, and human resources.
    At AAA, Johnson's duties will include:  product communications, strategic
sales design, and account development.  He will direct the sales efforts for
76 AAA offices throughout northern California, Nevada and Utah.
    "We are going to build on the success of our sales force as we move into
the 21st century," said Mac.  "Our number one goal is to meet the
ever-changing needs of AAA members," Mac added.
    Mac holds a Bachelor's degree in Management from the University of
Nebraska and is active in several professional insurance associations.
    AAA provides travel, financial, insurance and automotive services to more
than 3.7 million members in northern California, Nevada and Utah.
