Infiniti Announces Pricing For 1998 QX4 And Q45

                    Both vehicles hold-the-line on pricing

    CARSON, Calif., Oct. 13 -- Infiniti, the luxury division of
Nissan Motor Corporation U.S.A today announced pricing for two of its
vehicles, the 1998 QX4 luxury sport utility vehicle and the 1998 Q45 flagship
luxury sedan.  Both vehicles are being introduced with the same Manufacturer's
Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) as their 1997 model counterparts.
    For 1998, the Infiniti QX4, which was ranked best in the Compact Sport
Utility Segment in the 1997 J.D. Power and Associates' Initial Quality Study
(IQS), starts at $35,550.  Pricing for the 1998 model Q45 also remains
unchanged from last year with an MSRP of $47,900.  Both vehicles are now
available at most Infiniti retailers nationwide.
    The 1998 Infiniti QX4 continues to offer an extensive list of luxury,
performance and safety features as standard equipment.  A new available option
is the Sunroof Preferred Package, which includes a Power Glass Sunroof, 6-disc
CD Autochanger and a Rear Window Wind Deflector.  This represents a value to
the consumer of more than $1,800 for a cost of only $1,250.
    A new Premium Sport Package also has been added to the 1998 QX4 and
includes a Limited-Slip Rear Differential and Heated Seats.  This package,
when combined with the required Sunroof Preferred Package option, costs an
additional $700, bringing the total price of the QX4 with both packages to
$37,500 MSRP.
    The 1998 model Q45 was designed to provide the best in quality, luxury and
performance while providing a tremendous value for luxury buyers.  The Touring
model, also unchanged at $49,900, offers all the luxuries of the Q45 but adds
a dash of sportiness with the inclusion of a performance tuned suspension,
rear decklid spoiler, a front black-out grille and a 6-disc CD autochanger.
