Toyota to Unveil 1999 Solara Coupe at Detroit International Auto Show


    TORRANCE, Calif., Nov. 24 -- Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc.,
today announced that it will unveil the 1999 Toyota Solara coupe on Wednesday,
January 7, 1998, at the Detroit International Auto Show in Cobo Hall.  The
Solara will be built exclusively at Toyota's award-winning production
facility, Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Canada, in Cambridge, Ontario.
    The front-drive V6-powered Solara will be an all-new mid-size two-door
coupe that will not share styling or interior cues with any other Toyota
product.
