Infiniti Posts Best November in Division History - I30 Also Boasts Best November Ever -
CARSON, Calif., Dec. 2 -- Marking its best November ever,
Infiniti, the luxury division of Nissan Motor Corporation U.S.A. (NMC),
reported November sales of 5,128, a 16.3 percent increase over the prior year
period. With calendar year-to-date sales totaling 60,019 units, the Division
is up 16.8 percent versus 1996.
As the volume sales leader, the Infiniti I30 reported a 38.1 percent
increase over the same period last year, with sales of 2,355 units in
November. I30 sales are also up 10.6 percent over last month. The Q45,
Infiniti's flagship luxury performance sedan, recorded sales of 778 units, up
4.3 percent over November 1996. The J30 personal luxury sedan posted sales of
258 units.
With total sales for November of 1,735, the QX4 luxury sport utility
vehicle continues to be a popular vehicle for the Division. It ranks as one
of the top three sellers in this segment. QX4 calendar year-to-date sales
totaled 16,930.
Total NMC sales for November, including Nissan and Infiniti Divisions,
were 48,356 units, up 2.3 percent over last month. Combined calendar year-to-
date sales for Nissan and Infiniti Divisions were 677,791 units.
