February Another Key Sales Month for Kia

    IRVINE, Calif., March 3 -- Kia Motors America today announced
record retail sales of 6,196 vehicles for the month of February.  This figure
represents a 145 percent increase in sales from February 1997.
    February sales mark the continuing trend in Kia sales growth.  Last year's
sales were up 53 percent from 1996, and January 1998 sales more than doubled
January sales from the previous year.
    Kia now has more than 370 dealerships in 35 states and is expected to be
nationwide by the end of the year.
