Lambda Car Club Hosts Car Show
PHILADELPHIA, May 12 -- The Lambda Car Club will host its
Annual Invitational Car Show at the New Hope Motel in the Woods, New Hope, PA,
May l6.
This year's show celebrates the production designs of the Chrysler
Corporation. A 1935 Chrysler Airflow Sedan will hold center stage on the show
field.
"The Lambda Car Club is a nonprofit organization promoting fellowship
among all people, specially lesbians and gays, who are interested in old and
special interest motor vehicles," said Aldo Buono, director of the Delaware
Valley Region of the Lambda Car Club International.
Highlights of the 1998 Invitational Car Show are as follows (all events
take place at the New Hope Motel in the Woods, except where noted):
SATURDAY, May 16
-- Car rally through historic Bucks County, PA, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
-- The main event -- Annual Invitational Car Show in the motel's parking
lot.
Approximately 100 cars are expected. 1 - 4 p.m.
-- Poolside Fashion Strut on motel's pool deck.
4 - 5 p.m.
-- Awards Banquet. 6:30 - 9 p.m.
The public is invited to attend the show. General admission to the car
show is $5 per person, donation.
