Automotive & Transportation Interiors Magazine Hosts Fifth Annual International Expo in Detroit May 19-21

    WHAT:         Automotive & Transportation Interiors Expo, the world's
                  largest annual exposition and conference devoted to
                  automotive interiors, will be held May 19-21, 1998, at
                  Detroit's Cobo Conference/Exhibition Center.  The Expo
                  provides access to more than 170 major product/component
                  suppliers, raw material producers and equipment
                  manufacturers.

                  A series of educational conferences featuring 40
                  international automotive interiors experts also will be held
                  to address the industry's foremost design, engineering and
                  manufacturing issues.  Topics will range from addressing
                  passenger safety in design to soft trim and plastics
                  technologies, as well as the latest thinking on wood
                  products, customer needs and workplace ergonomics.

                  Two other educational conferences will be held in
                  conjunction with the Expo, including:

                  -- Technomic Publishing's Air Bag Technology '98 Conference
                     May 18-19

                  -- Society of Plastics Engineers 1998 Automotive RETEC
                     Conference May 21

    SCHOLARSHIP   The Fourth Annual Automotive & Transportation Interiors
    EVENTS:       Benefit Scholarship Awards Banquet will be held May 19 at
                  the Atheneum Suite Hotel.  The Expo's first annual golf
                  tournament takes place on May 17.  All proceeds from these
                  events will be donated to top students at the Center for
                  Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan State University and
                  Western Michigan University.  For more information about
