Grand Opening of the CarMax(R) Used-Car Superstore in Hillside Announced
What: Grand Opening of the CarMax(R) Used-Car Superstore in Hillside.
CarMax Vice President of Marketing and Strategy Joe Kunkel this
morning will present the car keys to the first customer and
officially launch a series of special community events at the new
Hillside superstore in Hillside Shopping Plaza.
Where: CarMax
4550 Harrison Street (in the Hillside Shopping Plaza)
Hillside, Illinois
Who: Joe Kunkel, vice president of marketing and strategy for CarMax,
will be available for interviews. Hillside Mayor Joseph T.
Tamburino and other local officials will also participate in the
Grand Opening ceremony.
When: May 19, at 10:30 a.m.
Why: CarMax, a subsidiary of Circuit City Stores, Inc., has been
revolutionizing the way consumers think about automobile purchases
since opening its first store in 1993. CarMax locations offer
hundreds of top-quality used cars and trucks; low, no-haggle
prices; and customer-friendly service throughout the buying
experience.
Used-car sales total about $300 billion a year, and consumers buy
three times as many used cars as new cars annually.
