HOSCHTON, Ga., Dec. 22 -- The Panoz Esperante will be
officially introduced at the 1999 North American International Auto Show. The
Esperante is a showcase for advanced technology that will bring aluminum
vehicles into the mainstream for the 21st century. Its classic styling,
modular aluminum-intensive chassis and SPF-formed aluminum body panels make
this hand-assembled, all-American convertible an exciting choice for
consumers.
Daniel Panoz, president and founder of Panoz Auto Development, will be
available, and Dr. Donald Panoz, owner of Panoz Motorsports, is scheduled to
appear. Johnny O'Connell, driver of the successful Panoz GTR-1, will be
available for photos and autographs.
The Esperante is Panoz' second Aluminum Intensive Vehicle (AIV) and its
first new streetcar since the AIV Roadster was developed in 1996.
