1999 Model Year BOVYs Announced the Best Overall Values of the Year in Cars and Trucks From IntelliChoice
CAMPBELL, Calif., Feb. 10 -- The 13th annual Best Overall
Value of the Year awards were announced today by IntelliChoice(R). Heading
the 1999 BOVY(TM) winners were Honda with five best in category BOVYs, Nissan
with four best in category BOVYs, and Chevrolet with three best in category
BOVYs, as well as a manufacturer-leading overall total of 13 awards.
"Our analysts at IntelliChoice annually pore over millions of automotive
stats and facts, this year evaluating more than 800 cars and trucks from the
class of '99," said IntelliChoice founder Peter Levy. "Based strictly on all
of this economic data, we identify the cars and trucks that offer the greatest
value ... These are the BOVYs."
IntelliChoice calculates and then projects the costs over five years for
vehicle depreciation, insurance, maintenance, repair, fuel, state fees and
financing to determine the best values in 29 car and truck categories.
