Honda Hosts Child Safety Awareness Day This Weekend at 400 Dealerships Nationwide HONDA CHILD SAFETY DAY Eighty percent of all child safety seats are improperly installed. To help reduce that number, participating Honda dealerships will demonstrate proper child-seat installation at Child Safety Day on May 22, and provide information on the correct use of booster seats and seatbelts. Injuries resulting from not wearing seatbelts are the leading cause of death in children under the age of 14. Parents will be able to obtain free "passports" from Polaroid's Project KidCare(TM) at Child Safety Day on May 22, which will include a photograph, fingerprint and valuable physical and medical information about their child. With more than 1 million children killed or injured each year in traffic,
household and recreational accidents, Honda's Child Safety Awareness Day
offers families valuable information and hands-on instruction to help reduce
this number. Parents will be advised on issues relating to vehicle and
traffic safety, sports and recreational injuries, preventing child abduction,
monitoring their child's Internet usage and protecting them from common
household hazards.

safety seats and the correct use of seatbelts.
* Children being photographed for their free Polaroid Project
KidCare "photo passports" that are designed to provide
parents and police with information vital to the recovery of
missing children.
