TROY, Mich. -- On June 16 at the Troy Marriott, the Women's Automotive
Association International (WAAI) Detroit Chapter will honor three companies
selected as recipients of the WAAI "Best Practices" award:
DaimlerChrysler Corporation, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Rodgers Chevrolet.
Recipients were selected on their creativity in developing policy, flexibility
for all employees, consistency in applying these policies, and the overall
effectiveness of the policies.
The honorable mentions include Manpower MetroDetroit, McNish Dennehy Agency and
Productions Plus.
The WAAI established the "Best Practices" award to recognize those companies
that promote practices that empower women and all employees to be better workers.
"We are pleased to highlight some of the best employers in the Detroit Metropolitan
area," said Molly Padovini, President of WAAI and Director of Fixed Operations for
Troy Ford. "The WAAI strives to promote companies that support the unique needs
of women in the workplace."
