New Standard Features Add $1,875 MSRP Value to Discovery Series II SE
LANHAM, Md., Oct. 3 Land Rover North America, Inc. today
announced Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Prices for its U.S. product line's
2001 model year. All MSRPs listed below include the $625 Land Rover
destination charge.
RANGE ROVER
Land Rover's flagship, Range Rover, is available in two trim levels for
the 2001 model year: 4.6 HSE and the 4.6 SE. The major product news for Land
Rover in 2001 is the inclusion of the company's more-powerful 4.6-liter V8
engine in both Range Rover models. The 4.6 SE replaces the 4.0 SE for 2001.
Range Rover 4.6 HSE carries an MSRP of $68,625. In addition to the
numerous standard luxury and performance features, 4.6 HSE includes standard
18- by 8-inch aluminum alloy wheels and a Land Rover-exclusive Global
Positioning Satellite (GPS) navigation system that includes route-traceable
off-road functionality. Packaged with 4.6 HSE's standard navigation system is
an all-new, standard 460-watt premium audio system. Individual options for
4.6 HSE include a Lightstone leather interior with complementary-color seat
piping and carpets ($750) and a wood-and-leather-trimmed steering wheel ($400)
Range Rover 4.6 SE carries an MSRP of $62,625. The 4.6 SE's optional
equipment list includes the off-road-functional GPS navigation system and 460-
watt premium audio system package from the 4.6 HSE ($2,995). On 4.6 SE, this
package includes leather and woodgrain trim enhancements.
DISCOVERY SERIES II
Land Rover's major pricing news for 2001 is the no-cost addition of two
standard features to the top-of-the-line Discovery Series II SE. With an MSRP
starting at $36,975, the leather-trimmed SE now includes dual tilt-and-slide
power sunroofs and a six-disc CD auto-changer as standard equipment. Because
Discovery Series II SE's MSRP has increased by only $250 for 2001, the
addition of these two options represents a $1,875 cost savings on the 2001
Discovery Series II SE.
The limited-production 2001 Discovery Series II LE is priced starting at
$34,975 MSRP. Designed to slot in between the premium SE model and the entry-
priced SD, the LE model offers buyers unique interior and exterior appearance
enhancements-and the prestige of a limited-production model available at a
mid-level price.
The 2001 Discovery Series II SD is the entry-priced Discovery Series II.
Its MSRP has not increased for the 2001 model year. Priced at $33,975, SD
competes solidly at the heart of the $30,000-plus sport-utility market.
LAND ROVER WARRANTY & SERVICE
All Land Rover vehicles are backed by a 4-year/50,000-mile new-vehicle
limited warranty, a 6-year/unlimited-mileage corrosion perforation limited
warranty and Land Rover Road Recovery(SM) 24-hour service provided for the
duration of the new-vehicle limited warranty.
